COVID-19 Firm Update
As you may know, New Jersey Governor Murphy ordered all “non-essential” businesses to close on March 21, 2020. In compliance with this directive, we have closed our four physical offices to the public in order to protect our staff and clients.
ALTHOUGH OUR PHYSICAL OFFICES ARE CLOSED, ANDRES & BERGER REMAINS OPEN FOR BUSINESS IN ORDER TO SERVE OUR CLIENTS.
Our five attorneys and professional staff are working remotely, and we will have limited individuals staffing our offices to ensure everything proceeds smoothly. Fortunately, our advanced computer technology allows us to remotely access and work on all case files, process email and handle telephone calls in order to do everything necessary to prepare our cases. Your calls, emails and correspondence will be answered in timely fashion and we will continue to provide the high quality legal representation Andres, Berger & Tran is known for. Please be patient as it may take slightly longer than normal for us to respond since most of our attorneys and staff are working remotely.
The New Jersey Supreme Court has issued several Orders which will impact case scheduling and court proceedings, including the following:
- Civil jury trials and in-person court appearances by counsel and clients are suspended indefinitely.
- Arbitration hearings are postponed until at least April 13, 2020 at which time the arbitrations will be rescheduled and held remotely, by video conferencing or telephone.
- Conferences and pretrial motions involving counsel will be handled via video conferencing or telephone.
Based upon the continuing public health issues, we expect that the New Jersey Supreme Court will issue additional Orders affecting case scheduling. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you with regard to scheduling issues. Please visit Andres, Berger & Tran on Facebook , Twitter and check out AndresBerger.com for general updates.
When contacting us, we request that you initially attempt to use email as it will facilitate our ability to monitor and respond to your inquiries. If you do not have access to email or have an emergent situation feel free to call at 856.795.1444. If you don’t have the email for who is assigned to your case, please send your questions to info@andresbergertran.com and someone will respond to your questions.
On a personal note, please follow the recommendations of the medical professionals to protect you, your families and friends. Wash your hands. Disinfect surfaces. Shelter in place and limit contact outside of your home to necessary situations. Practice social distance. Self-quarantine if you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone who is ill.
As a country, we will get through this. However, we need to all work together to limit the impact of the virus.
Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
