On Monday on June 26th, a very serious car accident occurred in Middletown, New Jersey. The car accident left one pedestrian dead. Though neither the driver of the car, nor the pedestrian killed are being identified at this time. The woman was transported to a local hospital, only to be pronounced dead a few hours later.
Though the car crash is still under investigation, the crash occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Hunters Pointe, though the initial call described the accident taking place at the intersection of Palmer and Main Street in Belford, which was luckily very close to the intersection the actual crash took place on. The driver of the car who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and worked with the police, fortunately. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and is part of what is being investigated currently.
Currently, all that has been released to the public was that the victim was out for a walk when she was hit by a car. She may not have been killed on impact, but after being transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, she was officially pronounced deceased. As more details emerge, the media will continue to release updates on all they can.
