Marissa Corbett was charged with animal cruelty after the New Jersey State Police allegedly found her running a dog boarding and training facility that was unsanitary and inhumane. Detectives found evidence of animal cruelty toward the dogs. They also smelled ammonia and animal feces when they arrived. After a search of her property, they found 20 different living dogs in these conditions. Five dogs were in critical condition and one later died. Corbett was charged with 19 counts of fourth-degree animal cruelty, one count of third-degree animal cruelty and 40 counts of disorderly persons offense of animal cruelty. She was released and is pending a future court date.
